"If it's not love, it's the bomb" surveys works from the Marieluise Hessel Collection that utilize different media to address political and cultural traumas. The selected works attempt to reconcile difficult histories through the resurrection of personal and cultural memories. This survey crosses experiential divides and examines the artists' continued proximity to the events they depict.
