a forest and a tree
In a forest and a tree, five artists from widely disparate cultures and differing circumstances examine worldwide human experiences such as immigration, exile and displacement. They explore different ways of looking at self and other. These artists use video and slide projection to suggest an alignment between particular and universal experiences. This exhibition seeks to associate the artists’ concerns in an expanded field and to encourage understanding of the relationships between the universal and the particular.
